Day 34: The Pedestrian Safety Guard

It's the holiday season in NY. More and more people visit the city everyday that it becomes necessary for the city to designate those pedestrian safety guards. Their basic duty are to block the traffic every now and then and guide the pedestrian at the crossing. At this time of the year, they can really save us the tourists and the drivers a lot of troubles. They also reminded me of their counterparts in China, usually a very serious old man or lady, with a red flag in one hand and a whistle in another...Not everyone obeys his/her order though.
