It's so great to be in NY, as a Chinese. Having been living in Europe for 5 years, I missed Chinese food everyday. There were not as many Chinese immigrants as there were in the US. Thus, even getting hold of basic ingredients to make Chinese food yourself is not that easy. But here in NY, you can find anything you will ever want, from normal Chinese veges and yummy Chinese fruits (see Day 61 ) to Chinese steamed bread (buns). We even found this shop selling specially processed meat. This is a very common process practiced in China to give meat (be in chicken, duck, pork, beef or even sea food as you can see from this picture) a very special flavor. We couldn't resist the temptation and ordered half of a Beijing duck, finished in ten minutes. Of course we wouldn't miss this opportunity and bought some more to take home with.
I think I just found a good motivation to go to NY again : )
