
It's called the red cube. It's located on 140 Broadway and was created by architect Isamu Noguchi in 1968. I took this picture when the kid's mum was taking photo for her. The cube seemed to be balanced in one corner. But due to the common sense, it didn't give you the sense of stability because you were not able to do it if you were given a cube like that. It made you feel that it would roll at any time. I like this picture because of its sense of unstable balance and the hidden tension of the imminent danger.
There is a hole in one side of the cube, through which you can see the skyscaper behind. The sculpture tries to blend with the high buildings surrounding it and you got to check it out yourself when you are in NY.
