Day 27: Birds in Migration

This picture is a good example of how important it is to be at the right time with the right equipment. I was lucky this time. I was hanging around with my new 135L when I spotted them. If I were with another lens, I wouldn't be able to get so close a shot. Well, with 135L I still couldn't get the image of a individual bird, but that was not the point in this picture.

I guess these birds were migrating from the north to the south, escaping the cold winter here. I checked wiki and it says that they can reach as far as the bottom corner of the south american continent. Wish them good luck in their long journey.
