Day 23: Concert -- Classical v.s. Jazz

I guess I started to get hooked with concert-going in Princeton. Last weekend, I was in this very room attending a fabulous Jazz concert. This week, I was here again. This time, it was a concert of the classical v.s. Jazz. One professor here had this amazing idea to have both the jazz ensemble and the orchestra present on the same stage and had them perform the same music, with a Jazz version followed by the classical version. The Jazz versions were full of passion and tension while the classical versions were smooth and elegant and soothing. This was also my first time to attend an orchestra concert. I liked it very much. I think I will keep going as long as there is something interesting happening here. And it's so nice that I can get a student ticket for only 5 bucks! I guess I will miss it very much when I return to Sweden......
